Gleb Barkovskiy, sits for a portrait in the yard of the Land O'Lakes farmhouse he called home while studying at Academy at the Lakes in Land O'Lakes. The Russian student and recent graduate has excelled at the school since coming to the states, and will attend Bucknell University this fall on a full scholarship. Barkovskiy came to the U.S. through an organization called The Renaissance Project. A not-for-profit that, "believes in making deep and profound changes in children's lives. We hand pick bright children from around the world to come to America for a life-changing educational and life experience. Our goal is to create future leaders and ambassadors for our country and the world."
